Assistant Accountant - Operations
Key elements of this role include the production of daily manufacturing reports, weekly material variance reports, maintenance of the standard costing systems, damage analysis, downtime analysis, work with Operational Managers to analyse performance and highlight areas for potential improvement and track profit improvement plans.
Skills / Experience:
The candidate should be wanting a career in Finance and have the ability to pick up new ideas/systems quickly, good communication skills, have the ability to relate to people of all levels within the company. They should also show attention to detail, be driven with a pro-active approach and be a team player with the desire to develop their knowledge further. Ideally you will be studying towards an accounting qualification and have a minimum of one year’s experience in a financial role, preferably gained within a manufacturing environment.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are essential. The ability to produce pivots, macros and look ups would be a distinct advantage.
A full driving licence is essential as there will be frequent travel between our two sites.
